MR. JOHN SHEPHERD
Owner & Lead Instructor
Mr. John Shepherd is former Private Security Contractor and brings over a decade of experience into the industry. Mr. Shepherd was born and raised in Catlett Virginia and is the owner of Saddle Ridge Armory. He graduated from Penn-Foster in 2014 with a degree in gunsmithing. Mr. Shepherd formally worked as a Personal Protection Specialist, Private Investigator and Interpreter. He is a firearms instructor for the N.R.A, Utah, The Department of Criminal Justice Services and a Machinegun Instructor. Mr. Shepherd is a Volunteer Firefighter/EMT and volunteers within the town he grew up in. With His experience as an industry expert Instructor and Security Contractor, He is always working to create the safest, most efficient and realistic training curriculum. Mr. Shepherd is setting higher standards of training in the industry. He thoroughly enjoys the research, development and testing of new firearm systems and their applications. His courses and curriculum are developed and based on personal experience, Law Enforcement & Civilian defense data. Mr. Shepherd loves teaching the new and experienced members in the firearms industry in order to promote safer, competent, responsible and knowledgeable firearms owners and sporting enthusiasts. Mr. Shepherd is a Cancer Survivor and a Liver Transplant recipient.
